Our standard quality in extruded sponge silicone profiles is an off-white colour with a density of 0.25 gr/cm3, although we can manufacture any colour given a minimum quantity and densities of 0.3 gr/cm3, 0.4 gr/cm3, 0.5 gr/cm3, 0.6 gr/cm3 and 0.8 gr/cm3.

We can extrude silicone sponge profiles in any shape, sponge cords starting at 2 mm diameter up to 75 mm diameter, square and rectangular profiles from 2 mm x 2 mm to 75 mm x 75 mm and sponge silicone tubes from 2mm inside diameter to 100mm outside diameter.

Our manufacturing process allows us to supply any shape given a drawing or sample in several coil lengths (25 m, 50 m, 100 m, 250 m and 500 m). Other lengths and cut parts from 1mm onwards can be supplied on request.

We have specific formulations for high temperature resistance (up to +250 ºC) and for foodstuff applications (FDA grade silicone).

¿When to use a sponge silicone profile instead of a solid silicone profile?





Certainly there is no instructions manual, but our advice is to use them in those applications where there is a need to absorb tolerance differences from those materials you need to seal/join, or that you need to compress the profile noticeably and that it keeps its memory. Our advice would be not to use sponge profiles where mechanical stress or strain is present.
